This is the home page for Jeff Szuhay and family.
If you are a Szuhay, a McGannon, or a Duffy, I'd enjoy hearing from you!
<www.classicaldancealliance.org>, the website for Classical Dance Alliance, Inc., has gone live! Woo-hoo!
CDA is dedicated to "Raising the Barre on Ballet Schooling"(sm). Our intent is to improve the quality of classical dance training with the long-term goal of generally improving all areas of dancemaking.
I am one of the founders of this New York State non-profit organization.
It is now a federal 501(c)(3) organization which means
(a) that any donations given are tax-deductible to the giver, and
(b) that we file annual Form 990s.
Our non-profit information can be found at
<www.guidestar.com>.
There is some very cool stuff here: interviews, events, and animated dance concepts. The website is our primary tool for raising awareness and providing examplary materials. But it's not the only thing we're doing. We have a lot more planned, both for the website and for the dance world. Stay tuned!

My main project is En Dehors: Classical Dance Visualization for Computers. This is being developed under Dance Animation Labs, Inc., a Pennsylvania sub-S Corp. still in start-up mode. A brief description is available here . En Dehors is a rather ambitious project and will likely span a decade. If you would like to know more about my background, my resume can be found here. Oh, yeah, and CocoaHeads <www.cocoaheads.org> is a cool group of OS X developers meeting at CMU every other month. A bi-monthly dose of cool stuff people are working on and lively geek banter.
